Work abroad for Ukrainians: current vacancies
There is an opinion that foreign countries hire foreigners exclusively for blue-collar jobs. This is fundamentally wrong. If you speak foreign languages and have deep knowledge in advertising, marketing, analytics, IT technologies, have an engineering, construction, or medical education, European employers are ready to consider Ukrainians for vacant positions on an equal basis with representatives from other countries.
There is a consistently high demand for low-skilled workers. People are constantly needed for agricultural work. There is a catastrophic shortage of drivers and junior medical personnel in institutions with difficult working conditions or sanatorium-type institutions. Work abroad is also attractive on a rotational basis, especially if the family remains in Ukraine. In the Scandinavian countries, there are vacancies for men on fishing vessels and shipyards.
Women go to Sweden and Finland to pick berries, work in the service and catering industries.
Seasonal work abroad is possible in almost every country. The largest list of vacancies in 2020 is for harvest workers: in Portugal and Spain, people are needed to harvest citrus fruits, in Poland – apples, in Bulgaria – rose petals.

- Our medical workers are in great demand in European countries. These are some of the most prestigious and highly paid professions.
- Qualified nurses earn from $1,000 per month, and a doctor\’s income, depending on their specialization and clinic, can range from $6,000 to $12,000. As a rule, doctors are provided with service housing, transportation, and in some cases compensation for flights to their home country is provided.
- Agricultural specialties. In season, picking berries in Finland and Sweden, you can earn from $1,000, and a qualified winemaker in France can expect $3-4,000.
- Drivers in European countries earn from $1,000, and working on a bus or a heavy-duty truck in Europe can \”cost\” up to $2,000. Vacancies are offered in Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, if you speak French, Italian, German, you can find work in almost any country in the European Union. To be employed, extensive driving experience and spoken English are required.
